Sierra Nevada is a wonderful region for exploring summer sports, either hiking or cycling, whilst avoiding Spain's summer heat. Pradollano plays host to Southern Spain's high-altitude sports performance center, C.A.R. Sierra Nevada, available for all athletes to book and use.

Mountain hiking

Whether hiking the ski slopes, or travelling further afield, plenty of hiking trails provide wonderful exercise with stunning views.

NB. starting at 2,100 metres altitude, the sun is strong and the UV count high!! And don't forget water!!

Cycling

The road down to Granada, and up towards Pico Veleta, is abuzz with cyclists, both amateur and professsional! Enjoy the workout...

A local bike rental is available in Pradollano, as one enters the village, or in Granada, with a number of stores renting e-bikes, mpuntain bikes or road bikes.
